Post-Interview

This section provides specific guidance for what actions should follow an interview, such as follow-up letters or emails, and whether or when to ask if decisions have been made about the open position. Below is a brief excerpt from this section:

Just after the interview and once you are fully disconnected from the teleconferencing software or outside of the interview premises, take some notes on the main ideas and information that you presented and received. This will not only help you remember the job’s specific conditions and the interviewers’ names, but also to reflect on how to improve your skills for any potential future interview.

After the interview, it’s acceptable to follow up with a phone call and an email to the main interviewer. Avoid calling first thing in the morning, and try to make only one phone call after the selection time period has passed. If at the end of the interview you were not told when you should hear back, you can ask this question in your post-interview email.

This is just a brief sample of the extensive information in the GoinGlobal Spain Career Guide, which is carefully researched and regularly updated by local career experts.
