Professional associations and business groups are not as numerous in Canada as they are in the USA; often the association or group may be a chapter or division of a US-based organization. Nevertheless, they are plentiful across most industries and regions, and provide the jobseeker with excellent career resources and networking opportunities. It is essential for jobseekers to focus on expanding and working their networks.
