As part of its efforts to support economic growth, Brazil’s government introduced the second stimulus package since last year. The package, whose goal is to support manufacturers, includes “45 billion BRL (24.5 billion USD) to be injected into a development bank offering loans to Brazilian firms,” according to Global Finance. Brazil's government also plans to invest more than 500 million USD this year to recapitalize two state-controlled banks in an effort to boost lending.

Virtually all finance executives in Brazil are confident in their companies' prospects. These financial leaders also reported hiring challenges and are worried about employee retention, with 88 percent of Brazilian finance executives saying they were concerned about losing valued employees to other opportunities.

Executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles reports throughout Latin America, economic growth and expanding wealth offer asset management firms offer increasingly attractive opportunities. Both existing firms and new entrants “will need talented distribution professionals who understand the region and the markets. Those firms that know what to look for in such talent – and know what that talent looks for in firms – can get a significant head start in a race that will only become more competitive,” according to a recent Heidrick & Struggles report.
