The job market is looking up for HR professionals in the UK, according to recruiter Badenoch and Clark. Findings of a recent personnel employment survey reveal full-time HR job openings more than doubled last year. Compensation and benefits were a much-sought-after specialty. Recruiter Hays predicts the top 10 professions and skills that will be most in demand over the year, and among them is HR manager. With companies restructuring to survive the recession, many organizations turn to their HR teams for advice over employee relations, complex TUPE regulations, restructuring and change management. Opportunities should increase in manufacturing, banking, financial services, energy and retail. An experienced HR manager can earn between 30,000 and 60,000 GBP.
