The job application process in Denmark can be a very time consuming and, if the job is attractive or if there are a lot of applicants, can take several months. Knowledge of Danish is always a useful qualification.
Danes are very punctual people, so it is essential to arrive on time. When meeting the interviewer(s), it is customary to greet each person present with a brief, firm handshake.
In small enterprises, a single interview is standard. In bigger companies, however, there typically will be two or three interviews before a job offer is extended.
Sending a thank you letter is very common in Denmark. Keep it short and professional. Employers regard this as an indication of your final interest in the position.
This is just a sample of what you'll find in the complete Denmark guide.
