Industry Organizations and Councils
Confederação Nacional da Indústria (CNI) National Industry Confederation http://www.cni.org.br (Portuguese, English) CNI, the National Industry Confederation (Confederação Nacional da Indústria), is an umbrella organization that coordinates the industry federations of all 26 Brazilian states plus the federal district (some of which are listed below). Since 1938 this confederation has been the foremost representative of Brazilian industry. The CNI oversees the National Industrial Training Service (SENAI), the Industrial Social Services (SESI) and the Euvaldo Lodi Institute (IEL).

International Club Rio (InC) http://www.incrio.org.br/ (English) Founded in 1965 the InC has approximately 200 members from 30 nations. The club promotes friendship among members of all nationalities and helps newcomers to Rio make friends, get settled, and understand Brazil and life in Rio. The InC provides a diverse mix of activities, excursions, special interest groups and lectures. The club supports a number of charitable organizations in the greater Rio de Janeiro area, and provides opportunities for members to volunteer or provide services through charitable works. All activities are conducted in English, but all nationalities are welcome to join.
