The recent arrival of Google in Peru signals the rise of the country's IT industry. Currently, the IT market in Peru is small, but it is expected to be one of the highest-growth markets in the world by 2015.
Last year, IBM announced a five-year IT services agreement with the Peruvian government to develop a cloud infrastructure to centralize the IT operations of state-owned companies across a variety of industries. The adoption of cloud computing by the government is expected to continue and stretch to other areas of e-government.

Sociedad Peruana de Computacion (SPC) Peruvian Computer Society http://www.spc.org.pe/ (Spanish) The Peruvian Computer Society was founded in 2001. One of its goals is to provide incentives for activities related to the teaching, research and development of computer science in Peru. The SPC also seeks to spread knowledge, information and opinions about advances in computer science through online reunions and conferences, as well as publications on its website. It does not feature a job posting area, but one can attend specialized computer congresses and receive SPC’s magazine that contains the latest news of the technology industry in Peru.
