This has changed in recent years with the slowdown in the overall economy and increased pressure in telecommunications and other high-tech sectors. The size of the management consulting sector remains relatively small but is growing in response to moves by major employers to improve their bottom lines by outsourcing certain job functions. All the large international management consultant firms -- such as Accenture, McKinsey and Boston Consulting Group -- have a presence in Finland and offer management, technology and financial consulting services. Additionally, many local, smaller Finnish consultancies specialize in niche markets.
