Excerpted from the Finland Career Guide
Finland has a large number of well-educated workers. Finland has made
the development of a well-educated, multilingual, motivated work force
a national priority. The education system is among the best in the world.
However, there are projections of a coming labor shortage in Finland,
primarily due to the fact that the post-World War II generation is on
the verge of retirement age.
One quarter of the workforce in Finland is employed by the industry and
construction sectors. Of the specific industry sectors, the metals and
electronics industries have the largest employment. But like
most sectors in Finland, these sectors have experienced a weak job market
of late due to worldwide economic weakness.
This is just a sample of what you'll find in the complete Finland guide.
