This organization is composed of 12 affiliated trade unions with
more than 323,000 members covering the majority of industrial wage
earners in Denmark. One of its major tasks is to conduct collective
bargaining with its counterpart, Danish Industry, every other year
and to enforce the agreements. It also looks after the interests of
its members by expressing its opinion concerning industrial and
trade policy through the publication of reports and addresses to the
government. Other activities include the organization of trade
conferences with participation of leaders in industry.
