The
manufacturing sector in Denmark is varied and produces a large
number of goods for export and domestic consumption. As a result,
opportunities exist in many engineering fields including mechanical
engineering; energy and production; civil and environmental
engineering; chemistry; chemical engineering and biotechnology;
information technology; electronics and mathematics; and electrical
engineering and physics. The manufacturing sector is characterized
by a large number of small-and medium-sized enterprises (such as
IKEA) that produce consumer goods known around the world for their
high quality. In fact, less than half of one percent of firms in the
manufacturing sector has more than 100 full-time employees. The
greatest number of large manufacturing businesses is found in
mechanical engineering and in the iron, steel and metal industries,
but the chemical industry and the food, beverages, pharmaceutical
and tobacco industries also tend to have larger numbers of employees
as well.
This is just a sample of what you'll find in the complete guide.
