The Danish
employment market has very liberal recruitment and dismissal rules
by both EU and international standards. This means that enterprises have
very low costs and few obligations in recruiting and dismissing workers.
These liberal rules mean many job openings, giving unemployed people very
good chances of finding new jobs. The Danish employment market model may briefly
be described on the basis of the following three main features: tripartite
cooperation (employers, employees, and government); strong organizations
on both sides of industry; and collective agreements, which constitute
the most important source of law in labor law matters.
Telecommunication services are highly developed. Denmark is a central
link for satellite communications between the former Eastern Bloc, western
Europe, and the United States. Its telephone systems provide first-class
digital service, and several cellular system providers offer excellent
trans-European and worldwide mobile communications. Very few non-Danes
speak Danish, so almost all Danish international businesspeople speak
English as a second language. Many also speak German and French.
This is just a sample of what you'll find in the complete Denmark guide.
