Depending on the position one is seeking, prior experience may be as important as a college degree. For junior management positions, between three and five years of experience is expected. For senior positions, between five and 15 years of experience is required. Senior positions are more likely to be awarded to people with a master’s degree in business administration. Many positions require language skills, including Portuguese and good conversational English, and sometimes even conversational Spanish.
