Excerpted from the Brazil Career Guide
Opportunities for engineers can be found in the construction sector. There
is currently a lot of investment in infrastructure in Brazil power
plants, roads, irrigation systems, and so on which translates
to jobs for engineers. There is also a lot of building activity in the
residential and commercial sectors, which is also good news for engineers.
Many engineers seek advanced degrees in engineering or business administration
to learn new technologies or to boost career opportunities in management
of engineering-related positions. For junior positions, between two to
five years of experiences is preferred by employers, and ten to 15 years
of experience are a required for senior or managerial positions.
CONFEA - Conselho Federal de Engenharia, Arquitetura e Agronomia (Federal Counsel of Engineering
