Zona McManus FREC, MAACC, MAACMP founded Career Directions in Sydney, Australia, following a five year career as a professional Recruitment and Human Resource Consultant. She began her career with Central Recruitment in 1998 providing career counseling and job search services to residents of the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United States. She has assisted clients on a global basis on many issues regarding relocation, employment search, interview skills grooming, resume preparation, career coaching, job hunt training and salary negotiation.

Her professional qualifications include a HND in Business Studies specialized in Marketing; IEC Foundation Vocational Award in Employment Agency Practice; a Fellowship in the Recruitment & Employment Confederation UK; Membership of the Australian Recruitment Consulting Service Association; Membership of the Australia Association of Career Counsellors; and Membership of the Asian Association of Career Management Professionals.

As a Director of Career Directions, she helps people assess their capabilities and investigate prospective markets for their talents; works with people who want to change their career directions, or who have been retrenched; and assists people who want a career check-up to see if they’re getting the best possible rewards from their work.

Zona also works with corporations as a valuable extension to existing functional and HR Management processes, based on the premise that effective career planning leads to a happier and more productive working relationship between the employee and the organization. She offers career counseling services for staff retention strategies, succession planning, manager mentor training and major transition support.
