Labor and business organizations—including trade unions—are invaluable for contacts and networking opportunities. Government workers in India have the right to organize and bargain collectively, but are not allowed to organize. However, they are guaranteed fair working conditions and wages. Overall, Indian employees are active members of the organizations believed to represent the workers’ needs, such as chambers of commerce and professional organizations.
