Excerpted from the Denmark Career Guide
Job applications should be submitted
as early as possible, but especially before the date they are due.
Applications by email are becoming common, and it is usually
permissible to send an application by fax before also sending it via
post. Candidates should request permission to fax applications,
however, and be sure to get the name of the individual who will
receive the fax. With email applications, candidates should keep in
mind that the format of their messages could be changed by their or
the prospective employer’s email programs, thus making a
less-than-favorable impression. Also, signatures are sometimes
impossible to send electronically. Since this is an important part
of the application, it may be wise to send applications via post;
however, the preferred method of submission is usually stated along
with the submission date.
Documents as copies of references,
educational certificates or diplomas may be attached. For a more
personalized application, candidates sometimes opt to include a
photo. Only professional-looking, good quality photos will give a
good impression, however. A photo should only be included it will
add quality to the job application.
