Excerpted from the Denmark Career Guide
Denmark consistently ranks among
the strongest economies in Europe. Since the mid-1990s, the Danish
economy has grown by a healthy three percent or so each year and the
unemployment level has remained miniscule. Perhaps this is most
telling fact: Denmark actually turned down the Euro in favor
of its own currency, the krone. That said, Denmark’s economy slowed
down last year and the national GDP grew by only two percent.
Denmark has some important
characteristics that give its economy a competitive edge, including
labor laws that benefit the employer and the employee, an educated
workforce, a wealth of natural resources and a thirst for
technology.
This is just a sample of what you'll find in the complete Denmark guide.
