Bio:
In
1991, Georgia Adamson started Adept Business Services (now known as A
Successful Career), a firm that provides career-management services,
including personalized coaching programs and the creation of
professional résumés and cover letters, to job seekers and career
changers from entry-level to executive. Adept works with professionals
throughout the United States and in several other countries.
Adamson's résumés and cover letters have appeared in nine books,
including Expert Résumés for
Computer Occupations (2001);
Cover Letter Magic
(2000); Professional Résumés for
Accounting & Tax Occupations (1999);
Professional Résumés for Accounting,
Tax, Finance & Law (1999);
Gallery of Best Cover Letters
(1999); Professional Résumés for

Résumé Winners from the Pros
(1998). Over the past few years, Adamson has also designed and
presented résumé workshops to professional groups, college students,
and library patrons.
A firm believer in the value of professional credentials and
affiliations, Adamson is a Certified Employment Interview
Professional, a Credentialed Career Master, a Job and Career
Transition Coach, a Certified Professional Résumé Writer and a
Certified Career Management Coach. She also participates actively in three international associations.
Prior to becoming a business owner, Adamson had careers as an
executive secretary and as a secondary school English teacher,
including two and a half years as a teacher in a suburb of
Melbourne, Australia.
