:: Employment Trends |
Excerpted from the Sweden Career Guide
In coming years, a generation of workers in Sweden will
retire. Around 36 percent of the active employment force is expected to retire
due to age by 2015, a total of about 1.5 million people.
The Swedish Statistics Bureau (SCB) expects high demand for workers in
the private sector, and many industries will most likely begin to
experience labor shortages during the next few years. Demand within the
public sector will also increase, but less than within the private sector.
Generally, near-term employment growth will come from the public and private
service sectors, according to the SCB.
This is just a sample of what you'll find in the complete Sweden guide.
