Excerpted from the Spain Career Guide
Geographically, the information and communication technologies sector
in Spain is concentrated in the large cities, especially in Madrid and
Barcelona.
In February 2002, the Spanish Confederation of Employers' Organisations
(Confederación Española de Organizaciones Empresariales,
or CEOE) published a report titled “La Sociedad de la Información.
La Visión Empresarial” (“The Information Society. The
Entrepreneurial Vision”). The report containedc a diagnosis of the
development of the new information and communication technologies in the
Spanish and European economies, and proposals for the future.

The Spanish Computer Companies Association endeavors to generate business,
structure the information sector, generate demand for information technologies,
and provide support for members and partners of the association. SEDISI
publishes various reports on information technology in Spain. This website
