Bio:
Martin is The Economist Intelligence Unit's correspondent for
Indonesia, providing expatriate cost-of-living surveys and security
assessments. He has lived in East Asia (Japan, Thailand, Indonesia)
for the past 20 years and is involved in intercultural awareness
training and coaching. He co-authored Globally Speaking: A 21st
Century Approach to Communicating Successfully, which was
published as a series of long articles in the business section of
mightywords.com in 2000.
He holds an BA from Princeton University (Psychology with additional
emphases in Religion and Linguistics) and a MAT from Reed College.
He currently resides in his wife's hometown in Indonesia.
