   :: Resume/CVs

Excerpted from the Germany Career Guide

In Germany, it is standard to include a photograph with one’s CV. The photograph should be the size of a passport photograph and show the applicant’s head and upper torso. It pays to spend some money on professionally made, high-quality photographs. Many employers consider photo-booth pictures unprofessional. The photograph should be pasted on the upper right side of the first page of the CV, next to the first section, Personal Details.

Under Personal Details, the applicant should list his or her full name, address and telephone numbers, and e-mail address. In addition, the applicant should include his or her date and place of birth, marital status and number of children. It is also important to list one’s age; without this information, the CV is incomplete.

This is just a sample of what you'll find in the complete guide.
