Excerpted from the Brazil Career Guide
Many of the world’s largest IT giants
have subsidiaries in Brazil and are active with their recruitment
plans. Hewlett Packard, for instance, has announced plans to hire
800 employees over a six-month period. The move is seen as part of
the company’s strategy to strengthen its market position and
increase its focus on BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and
China). The positions will be filled by professionals of all areas,
but the corporate market will be the main focus. The new
professionals will reinforce the outsourcing activities of HP which
want to take over contracts to manage the data centers of large
companies and eventually transfer these operations to its
headquarters at Barueri (Sao Paulo). Not only data centers are
targeted by HP, but also printing services outsourcing. German IT
services provider T-Systems, a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, is
also looking for 500 people to add to its staff. T-Systems currently
has 1,650 workers in the country spread over 11 business units.
This is just a sample of what you'll find in the complete guide.
