:: Cultural Advice |
Excerpted from the Belgium Career Guide
Living in Belgium means adapting somewhat to the Belgium ways. There is a rigid chain of command that must be respected, and Belgiums
bureaucracies can be frustrating. Deviating from the proper or expected
way will generally create problems, even if the intent is to bypass what
appear to be difficulties or obstacles. Bosses are expected to provide guidance
and information and make decisions. Subordinates are expected to provide
detailed information and follow the decisions made by the superiors. Most
Belgium business organizations have a structure similar to the French and
German business organization.
This is just a sample of what you'll find in the complete Belgium guide.
