   :: Resume/CVs

Excerpted from the Australia Career Guide

The Australian résumé or CV should begin with the applicant's name and address, followed by his or her contact telephone numbers and e-mail address. Most Australians have enthusiastically embraced the mobile telephone, so it is preferable to place a mobile telephone number on the résumé, rather than an after-hours home number. A business number may also give a negative impression, indicating that the job seeker is willing to use his or her employer’s time for personal pursuits.

Following the contact details, the candidate should include a "power statement," or a summary that provides an instant overview of the job candidate, his or her skills, and what he or she seeks.

Keywords or buzzwords will rate highly in recruitment databases and should be included in the résumé, either in a sectional block or throughout the text.

This is just a sample of what you'll find in the complete guide.
